Easy, juicy vegan bread with sunflower seeds and flaxseed.

  • 200 ml rye flour
  • 200 ml sunflower seeds
  • 100 ml wheat bran
  • 100 ml whole flaxseed
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 500 ml boiling water
  • 2.5 tsp (about 8dry yeast
  • 200 ml lukewarm water
  • 900-1000 ml wheat flour
  1. Pour rye flour, flaxseeds, wheat bran, sunflower seeds and salt into a bowl. Add 5 cups of boiling water and mix. Cover and let it rest for about 1 hour.
  2. Mix the yeast in the lukewarm water and stir until the yeast is completely dissolved. Pour in the bowl with rye flour etc.
  3. Add the flour and mix well. Work the dough for about 10 minutes.
  4. Cover the bowl and let the dough ferment for 30 minutes.
  5. Pour out the dough on a floured baking table and divide it into two pieces. Shape into two loaves.

  7. Put the oven at 440°F (225°C).
  8. Bake in the middle of the oven for 15 minutes, then lower the heat to 350°F (175°C) and bake for another 25 minutes.
